Virleen Donnis Braasch Anderson, born November 21, 1932 in Hebron, NE and departed this life June 29, 2022 at Wauneta, Nebraska Care and Therapy Center, Wauneta, NE Virleen was born to Carolina L. (Wedeking) and Herbert B Braasch in Hebron, NE
Virleen was a proud member of class of 1951, “Once a Hebron Bear always a Hebron Bear”. Virleen's parents were owners of the Texaco station on the west end of Hebron's main street till the tornado of 1953 destroyed it and Herb moved it to what used to be Highway 81 and they also had the Blue Top Motel next door, where Virleen worked along side her folks helping in the motel business.
She married Allen R. Anderson of Deshler in 1953 and to this union Thomas (fiancee' Mary Marteney) Anderson, Teri R. (Duane) Barnard were born. Virleen and Allen later divorced. Virleen worked for 25 years at FormFit Rogers of Beatrice and when it closed she went to work at Martin Luther Home which later became Mosaic in Beatrice for 25 years before her health wouldn't let her work anymore.
Virleen was a life time member of St Johns Church of Beatrice, NE. In 2012 Virleen moved out west to be closer to her daughter Teri. Virleen lived at Wauneta Care and Therapy Center, where she had some really good times living there.
Survivors are son Thomas of Pawnee City, NE and daughter Teri Barnard of Palisade, NE, granddaughter Samantha (Ken) Licht of Beatrice , grandson Phillip (Jackie) Anderson of Hebron , Virleen’s pride and joy were her great-grandchildren; Konner Licht, Jakob Anderson, Kamryn Anderson, and Karson Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herb and Carolina and Virleen was the last of her first cousins, Luella, Irving, Gloria, and Bonnie. Virleen chose cremation and is being buried by her parents in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron, NE.
Memorial services will be Friday, September 2, 2022 at Kroll Funeral Home Chapel in Hebron, NE at 10:30 AM. Officiant will be Pastor Greg Stuckwisch, music “Journey To The Sky” by Gloria Gaither, “In The Mood” by Glenn Miller, “Cab Driver” by Mills Brothers”, and “Holes In The Floor Of Heaven” by Steve Wariner, condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com.
