Timothy Pohlmann Obituary

Obit Timothy Jon Pohlmann-46 of Deshler, NE

Kroll Funeral Home Deshler, NE 402-365-4441

Timothy Jon Pohlmann of Deshler, NE the son of Orville and Lois (Werner) Pohlmann was born June 14th, 1975 in Belleville, KS. He departed this life Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE at the age of 46 years.

He was baptized July 6, 1975 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Deshler, Nebraska by Pastor Delmar Klover and confirmed on March 19, 1989 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church by Pastor James P. Moll. His confirmation verse was John 15:5.

Tim grew up in the Deshler area attending Deshler Lutheran School and graduating from Deshler High School with the class of 1993. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in diversified agriculture.

After graduating from college, Tim went to work farming with his father and brother. Being surrounded by God’s great creation while raising crops and tending to livestock was one of Tim’s favorite things. Tim grew corn, soybeans, wheat, milo, and alfalfa. Tim constantly gave glory to God for allowing him to do what he loved, farming.

Tim was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE where he served as a trustee and on the Deshler Lutheran School Board. He also served as an active member of Thayer County Livestock Feeders Association, Pheasants Forever, Southern Plains Extension Board, and Little Blue Natural Resources District.

Tim was united in marriage to Janna Hillman on July 17th, 1999 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. Most importantly, Tim will be remembered for his role as an outstanding father. Tim was blessed with three children- Hanna, Clay, & Jack. When not teaching his children the “ins and outs” of farming, Tim’s greatest joy was quality time spent with his family through hunting, fishing, and travelling. He taught his children the importance of having a strong faith and a good work ethic.

Tim leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. He has often been described as somebody his family and friends could always lean on for help no matter what. Tim will forever be remembered for his love and joy found in family, friends, and farming.

He was preceded in death by his father Orville Pohlmann and uncle Delmar Hobelmann.

Tim is survived by his three children Hanna, Clay, and Jack of Deshler, NE whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his mother Lois Pohlmann and brother Dave Pohlmann of Deshler, NE, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
