Terry Lee Skucius of Chester, NE the son of Hubert and Gertrude (Pohlmann) Skucius was born October 14, 1956 in Hebron, NE. He departed this life Friday, July 27, 2018 at his residence in rural Chester, NE at the age of 61 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, NE.

Terry grew up in the Chester area attending school and graduating from ChesterHubbellByron High School with the class of 1974. After graduation, he furthered his education going to Hasting’s Tech School studying welding.

Returning home he worked for his dad at Chester Farm Center and then went to work for Reinke’s Manufacturing as line foreman. He was still working there at the time of his death.

Terry enjoyed hunting, golfing, and just being out in God’s great creation. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his mom, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, former member of Chester Volunteer Fire Department serving on the rural fire board.

He was preceded in death by his father Hubert, and infant sister.

He is survived by his mother Gertrude Skucius of Hebron, two sisters; Myrna Wood and husband Bill of Lincoln, NE, and Idagene Stenger and husband Gene of Fontanelle, NE, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, NE at 11AM. Officiant will be Pastor Brian Francik, organist Karol Wassom,, congregational hymns “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Is Thy Faithfulness”. Casket bearers will be Doug Pohlmann, Galen Kirchhoff, Russ Reinke, Steve Kuhlmann, Bob Meyer and Dan Poppe. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE 2-7PM with family greeting friends 5-7PM.
