Rick D Wilder age 71 of Bruning, Nebraska was born on January 27,1950 in Fairbury Nebraska

to Donald and Colleenne (Henderson) Widler. He unexpectedly passed away May 18, 2021.

Rick graduated from Bruning High School in 1969. He was confirmed and a lifetime member of

Belvidere United Church of Christ.

Rick was blessed with 3 children-Teffeny, Tyson and Tori. Then on August 2, 1996 he started his

world wind romance with his wife Donna Lynn Aude. One of the many things they enjoyed doing

together was going to concerts from: The Beach Boys, Toby Keith and Hanks William Junior.

One of the stand out moments was when Rick forgot to take out his favorite pocket knife from

his pocket which then resulted in the security personnel having to take it, even though security

even said he didn’t look like a troublemaker (maybe if they knew him in his younger days) but lo

and behold Donna went out afterwards and found him his brand new favorite pocket knife.

Rick was renowned for being a stranger to no one, his witty outgoing humor, his love for his

sweet desserts, horses, playing pool, gardening in which he turned into a flower child,

cigarettes, Budweiser/bush and his beloved dogs- Milo and Lucy. He spent many of his earlier

years farming, working construction, and recently being a truck driver. Also not forgetting his

favorite hang out place at Bubbas and Strang Nebraska.

Loved ones that have cleared the path for Rick are his parents Don and Colleenne Widler and

his brother and sister-in-law Lonald and Nikki Widler.

He is survived by his wife Donna Lynn Widler of Bruning, NE. Children Teffany Schulte of

Hebron, NE, Tyson (Sheri) Widler of Plattsmouth, NE, and Tori (Jim) Hergott of Hebron, NE.

Grandchildren Tyler, Tim and Cameron Schulte, Trace and Jayden Widler, and Takaylynn and

Tegan Hergott. Sister Waunda (Mike) Kerwood of Wamego, KS. Great Aunts Audrey Else of

Hebron, NE, and Marilyn Widler of Geneva, NE. Mother-in-law Carol Aude of Belvidere, NE.

Father-in-law Donnell (Beverly) Aude of Tobias, NE. Brother-in-laws William (Donna) Aude of

Bruning, NE, Wayne (Barb) Aude of Hebron, NE, Dan Aude of McCool, NE, and Curtis (Chris)

Aude of Tobias, NE. Sister-in-laws Diana (Doug) Smith of Hebron, NE, and Karen (John) Clark

of Tooele, UT. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at The United Church of Christ in Belvidere, NE at 10:30 AM. Officiant Kim Dunkerm, organist Ila Currey, pianist Linda Dudgeon, recorded selections Joe Diffie “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox”, Rascal Flatts “Life is a Highway”, Alan Jackson “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” , Toby Keith “Beer for my Horses” Garth Brooks “The Dance”, no visitation cremation.
