Loraine L. Callison of Hebron, NE the daughter of John and Emma (Priefert) Callison was born November 18, 1924 at Belvidere, NE. She departed this life Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 92 years.

Her mother died when Loraine was young and she went to live with her older brother Melvin in St. Louis, MO. She moved back to rural Belvidere attending school and lived with Guy and Mandy Scott and then graduated from Hebron High School.

She worked at the Bruning Air Base during WWII, kept house and cooked for the Scott’s. She later moved to Fairbury where she lived until her health was failing. She then moved to Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, NE.

Loraine enjoyed nature God’s great creation. Children, flowers, birds, and all kinds of animals, just being outside was a treat but most of all she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Melvin Callison, three sisters; Hazel Schuler, Goldie Maske and Carmen Dierker.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 24, 2017 at The United Church of Christ in Belvidere, NE at 11 AM. Officiant will be Kim Dunker, organist Ila Currey, congregational hymn “In The Garden”, casket bearers; Russ Priefert, Tom Priefert, Bill Hudson, Edward Dierker and Jack Priefert, visitation one hour before service at church, memorials in care of the family.
