Obituary Linda Sue Telecky-72 of Columbus, NE formerly Hebron

Kroll Funeral Home Hebron, NE 402-768-6165

Linda Sue Telecky, 72, of Columbus, Nebraska, and formerly of Hebron, Nebraska, departed this life Thursday, December 5, 2019, at home with her loving husband by her side. She was born to John and Virginia (Tripp) Culp on November 2, 1947, in Belvidere, Nebraska. Linda attended grade school in Belvidere and high school in Deshler. Linda was united in marriage to Mark D. Telecky on July 20, 1990, in York, Nebraska.

Linda loved gardening, camping, playing games, and fishing and was most happy sharing these activities with her friends and family. She really enjoyed playing bunco and making crafts with her close friends. Her grandchildren brought her great joy, and time with them was especially cherished.

An exceptionally hard worker, Linda sometimes held multiple jobs at once. She spent several years working for Hebron Floral and even took her children on the occasional cross-country trip to deliver truckloads of flowers. After that she managed the VFW club in Hebron for several years before going to work for Region V in Hebron and Fairbury. This job suited her well as she was always one to help those who needed help the most. She then managed North Star Services in Columbus before retiring and working part-time at Ace Hardware.

Linda is survived by her husband Mark and her four children from her first marriage to Greg Koerwitz: Andrea (Ed) Garcia of Grand Island, NE, Jenny (Joe) Kunkel of Colorado Springs, CO, Casey (Russell) Willbanks of Harker Heights, TX, and Brian (Chantel) Koerwitz of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Jared (Kristina) Garcia, Jacob (Josie) Garcia, Megan Garcia, Drew Kunkel, Madeline Kunkel, Brayden Kunkel, Riley Kunkel, Raegan Willbanks, Hayden Willbanks, Addison Willbanks, Liam Willbanks, Ethan Koerwitz and Lauren Koerwitz; great-granddaughter Aurora Garcia; sisters Carol Aude, Wilma (Jose) Bonilla, Ellen (Jim) VanWesten, Terri (Steve) Holtzen, Marj (Raymond) Bowman, Denise (Daryl) Andersen and Gail Gilliam; brother Dale Culp; brothers-in-law Alan Telecky and Bob (Gayle) Telecky; sisters-in-law Laurene (Mike) Tarvin and Denise (Steve) Buckley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and faithful friends too many to mention. She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Gilbert and Marcella Telecky, sister Faye Vance, and sister-in-law Carol Culp.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron.
