Linda Loy Engelman of Hebron, NE the daughter of Roy and Iona (Davis) Ehlers was born May 20, 1947 in Deshler, NE. She departed this life Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE at the age of 70 years surrounded by all her children.

She was baptized June 8, 1947 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE

Linda grew up in the Deshler area attending school.

She married Kenneth Muehling August 31, 1963 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE.

She worked as a CNA in Fairbury, NE manufacturing at Reinke’s in Deshler, NE, and Peterson Manufacturing in Dewitt, NE. She retired because of health issues.

Her pastimes included reading, arts and crafts, garage sales and thrift shops, but most of all she was an immaculate housekeeper. She used the gifts God gave her to take care of her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Don Ehlers and wife Jean; two sisters, Marilyn Duey and husband Grant, Glennis McCutcheon and husband Willard; three brother-in-laws, William Buchanan, George Schroeder, and Benjamin Long; one niece, Teresa Duey Ross; two nephews, Steve Ehlers and Randy Schroeder.

She is survived by one son, Tyson Comer and wife Stephanie of Lincoln, NE; four daughters, Lisa Hintz and husband Jason of Deshler, NE, Amy Larsen and husband Erik of Lincoln, NE, Michelle Culler and husband Kirk of Hebron, NE, Elizabeth Hopkins and husband Doug of Lincoln, NE; brothers, Vincent Ehlers and wife Ila of Beatrice, NE, Lyle Ehlers and wife Sondra of Deshler, NE; sisters, Dixie Buchanan of York, NE, Carmen Schroeder of Fairbury, NE, Cheryl Moore of Las Vegas, NV, and Lonna Durflinger of York, NE; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
