LaDawn Ann (Weber/Wiedel) Bruening of Hebron, NE the daughter of Larry and Marie (Cook) Weber was born January 20, 1955 in Geneva, NE. She departed this life Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 67 years.

Dawn grew up in the Sutton and Geneva area attending school and graduating from Geneva High School with the class of 1973. She continued her education attending at Lincoln School of Commerce college.

Dawn married Alan Wiedel August 15, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Geneva, NE. This union was blessed with two children.

She worked in Hebron at First Federal Lincoln Savings and Loan and Thayer County Bank before moving to Geneva and worked at the Youth Rehabilitation Center in Geneva, NE. She then moved to Papillion, NE working at Pinnacle Bank and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Dawn retired in 2019 and moved back to Hebron.

Dawn enjoyed driving her jeep, working in the yard and flower beds, antiquing, restoring old furniture, sewing, cooking, and especially baking cookies to share with her family.

Spending time with her family and dog “Sammy” were the highlights in her life, especially the grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Don Fenton.

She is survived by her son Jeremy Wiedel and wife Whitney of Hebron, daughter Christine Feltes (Wiedel) and husband Kyle of Hebron, brother Joseph Weber and wife Colleen of Omaha, NE, sisters Sandra Fenton of Florida, and Marcia Leininger and husband Steve of Sutton, NE, grandchildren; Devin, Sienna, Savanna, Skylar, Cheyenne Wiedel, Ayden, Brianna Schloendorn, Frances and Jacob Feltes, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church in Hebron, NE at 10 AM. Organist Carlece Kenner, cantor Robin Timmermans, acolyte Pat O’Hanlon, lector Mark Hintz, honorary casket bearers are grandchildren. Rosary service will be Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 7 PM at Kroll Funeral Home Chapel in Hebron, book signing will be Thursday 2-6 PM at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron. Memorials in care of the family may be sent to Christine Feltes 6076 Road M  Hebron, NE  68370. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
