Katie Lyn Krupicka (Elting) of Carleton, NE the daughter of Orval and Esther (Krueger) Elting was born April 13, 1967 in Omaha, NE. She departed this life Saturday June 4, 2022 at her residence in Carleton, NE at the age of 55 years.

 

She was baptized May 21, 1967 and confirmed April 12, 1981 both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau, NE.

 

Katie grew up on a farm near Davenport, NE where her love for animals grew. She had several animals on the farm spending numerous hours out in God’s great creation.

 

She attended St. Peter Lutheran School in Davenport, NE and then graduated from Davenport High School with the class of 1985.

 

Katie married Lee Templin and this union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Levi and Briar, she married Roger Wessels and this union was blessed with one son Nathan. She married the love of her life Jeff Krupicka March 28, 2008 until his death March 27, 2022.

 

Katie liked living on the farm enjoying nature and being with her pets. She loved listening to rock and roll music and spending time with family especially the grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Orval and Esther Elting, husband Jeff Krupicka, and nephew Remington Elting.

 

She is survived by her three sons; Levi Templin and Kelsey Petersen of Chandler, AZ; Briar and Alicia Templin of Bruning, NE; Nathan Wessels of Beach, ND; brother Kurtis and Susie Elting of Davenport, NE; nephew Rueben and Anna Elting of Davenport, NE; grandchildren Parker and Laikyn Templin and numerous other relatives and friends.

 

Following Katie’s wishes, she was cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau, NE at 11 AM. Officiant will be Pastor Jose Flores, organist Lois Pohlmann, congregational hymns: “How Great Thou Art”, “Speak, O Lord, Your Servant Listens”, and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”. Private family inurnment. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron, NE is in charge of arrangements.
