Joyce Elizabeth (Bowen) Malone was born on December 27, 1947 in Deshler, NE in a blizzard. Joyce was the youngest of 4 children.

She went to school in Hebron, Nebraska and graduated in 1966.  Joyce was a cosmetologist for 13 years.  Joyce Married Terry Dean Malone on May 20, 1972.They had 3 children. Heather, Casey and LesLee.  The family lived in Hastings, NE for 8 years until moving to Hebron, NE in 1980. All three children graduated from Hebron high school. Joyce ran a daycare for several years and enjoyed all the children she was blessed to watch. After she closed her daycare she was a cook at the Care home in Hebron until she retired due to her health.

She loved children but she also loved being with her "friends" at the care home. Joyce and Terry moved to Wilber, NE after living in Hebron for 24 years. Joyce was very proud of her children and loved being with her grandkids and especially loved her great grandkids.She moved to Tempe, AZ after Terry retired in October of 2021. Joyce loved to be with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She loved to hug and give kisses to all her babies. Joyce passed away with her family by her side on April 1,2022 in Tempe, AZ.

Survived by her husband of 49 years Terry Malone of Tempe, AZ, 2 daughters Heather Danenfelser of Kokomo, IN, Leslee (Ben) Turner of Tempe, AZ, and 1 son Casey Malone of Douglas, WY. 1 brother Darrell (Carmen) Bowen of O'Neill, NE, sisters-in-law Mary Bowen of Lincoln, NE and Peg Bowen of O'Neill, NE, and Donna Malone of Fremont, NE. 17 grandkids and 13 great grandkids, several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Lester and Donelda Bowen, brothers Vaughn Bowen and Eugene Bowen. 1 granddaughter Madison Erin Carbaugh,  1 sister-in-law  Leona Jenkins, 4 brothers-in-law, Jack Malone, Jim Malone, Jerry Maloe, and William Malone, and her close friends Dennis and Renee Fangmeier. 

Following Joyce’s wishes she was cremated, no visitation. A memorial services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at The United Methodist Church in Hebron, NE at 10:30AM. Officiant will be Pastor Brian Faust, honorably casket bearers grandchildren; Nathan, Lauren, Dalton, Trenity, Patrick, Danny, Jacob, Jamie, Mateja, Cody, Autumn, Megan, Mackenzie, Garrett, Skyler, Nick, Kayla, and great-grandkids: Magnolia, Noah, Nia, Sofia, Scarlett, Siryna, Enslei, Evangeline, Ryatt, Ryker, Isabell, Evelyn, Oliver.
