James Clinton Schoof of Hebron, NE the son of Clarence and Sheron (Barnes) Schoof was born July 21, 1967 in Hebron, NE. He departed this life Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, NE at the age of 53 years.

Jim grew up in Hebron attending school and graduating from Hebron High School with the class of 1985.

He enlisted in the United States Army July 16, 1985 serving in Korea later he was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky where he instructed officers on driving tanks. He was honorably discharge July 15, 1989.

After returning home Jim decided to further his education attending Fairbury Junior College and graduating with an associates degree.

He worked as a CNA-CMA at the Edgar Nursing Home, Parkview Haven Nursing home in Deshler, NE and at Blue Valley Nursing Home in Hebron, NE. Because of his ill health he retired.

Jim enjoyed working on old cars, trying to get them back in road worthy condition. He also collected turquoise jewelery, belt buckles, bracelets and many other things.

He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Schoof.

He is survived by his mother Sheron Schoof of Hebron, special friend Patty Rhine of Hebron, aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at The First Community Church in Hebron, NE at 10:30. Officiant will be Pastor Steve Speichinger. Organist will be Judy Kassebaum with congregational hymns “Amazing Grace”, How Great Thou Art, and “In The Garden”. Memorial in care of the family. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com. Military Honors by Thayer County American Legion Posts. Inurnment will be Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron, NE. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron is in charge of arrangements.
