Frances Lee Hissong of Hebron, NE the daughter of Milford and Doris (Houchin) Brinegar was born February 22, 1943 in Carleton, NE. She departed this life Monday, December 13, 2021 at her residence in Hebron, NE surrounded by her family.

Frances grew up in Carleton, NE on a farm and attended grade school. She graduated from Hebron High School with the class of 1960. She furthered her education by attending Joseph’s School of Beauty in Lincoln, NE.

She married Allen Hissong February 26, 1961 at Carleton Brethren Church in Carleton, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of five children.

Frances was a worker. She helped on the family farm with the dairy, taking care of her ducks, geese and flowers, cutting hair on the side, owned and operated H&H Cafe, cooked at Hebron Livestock Commission, worked at Foote’s South Station, and Casey’s, besides raising five children and taking care of the house.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hebron.

She loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen, brothers Gary Brinegar and Richard Brinegar, and brother-in-law Larry Dankenbring.

She is survived by four sons; Todd Hissong of Hebron, Troy Hissong and wife Karen of Hebron, Travis Hissong DVM and wife Abby of Oberlin, KS, Tysen and wife Tina of Chester, NE and one daughter Kim Hissong MD of Sacramento, CA, sister Karen Dankenbring of Hebron, NE, sister-in-law Janelle Brinegar of Carleton, NE, grandchildren; Kale Frances Hissong of Boise ID, Coty Hissong of Lincoln, NE, Conner Hissong of Hebron, NE,  Alexis Frisbie and husband Eddie of Ludell, KS, Gatlin Hissong and fiance Faith Meitl both of Oberlin, KS, Logan Tietjen and special friend Abby of Byron, NE, Cameron Hissong, and Jayden Hissong all of Chester, NE, Clare Coleman of Russell, KS, Mollie Stierlen of Hebron, NE, Leigha Buresh and husband Bryce of Friend, NE, great-grandchildren; Swayze, Yates, Kayson, Aniya, Collin, Ava, Keiara, Bennett, and Lorelle, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The United Methodist Church in Hebron, NE at 2PM. Officiant will be Pastor Brian Faust, pianist Howard Reed, casket bearers will be the grandchildren, congregational hymn "Sprit Of The Living God", recorded music "Amazing Grace", Hallelujah" and "Unchained Melody" visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE from 2-6 PM with family greeting friends 4-6PM.
