Eva Marie Naiman of Hebron, NE the daughter of Leslie and Mary (Connell) Naiman was born April 22, 1947 in Fairbury, NE. She departed this life Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home in Papillion Nebraska at the age of 74 years.

Eva grew up on the family farm near Gilead. She attended grade school at Gilead and graduated from Hebron High School with the class of 1966.

After high school, Eva remained on the Naiman farm and started working at the Blue Valley Nursing Home as a nurses assistant which she so enjoyed helping the elderly, especially since she knew so many of the residents. She enjoyed being out in God’s great creation and helping with all the chores on the family farm. After our father passed away, Eva went to live with her sister Angeline in Holdrege, Ne. and did private duty nursing and companionship for an elderly blind lady for 16 years before returning home to the family farm.

Eva enjoyed traveling, including a trip to Hawaii with her sister Angeline, and many fun destinations with family and friends. While living on the farm she enjoyed playing cards; especially pitch and taking our Mother along to be her partner. She enjoyed word puzzles and surfing the I-Pad. Each year she was thrilled to throw birthday parties for each family member; especially her niece and nephew when they were young.

Eva demonstrated great courage and fortitude while facing grave obstacles during the Covid-19 pandemic to complete treatments, surgery, and follow up doctors appointments. She put on a brave face and pushed through with no complaints.

She was baptized and confirmed at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilead by Father Anthony Turek. Father Rafael Majano of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Omaha Ne. administered her last sacrament and communion at her home in Papillion, Ne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John, brother-in-law Charles E Hill and sister-in-law Carol Naiman.
