Duffy Alexander Craig of Deshler, NE the son of Dennis and Mary (Hutson) Craig was born June 25, 1961 in Lincoln, NE. He departed this life Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 55 years.

Duffy grew up in the Fairbury area attending school and graduated from Fairbury High School with the class of 1979. He continued his education attending college.

He started working in Alaska on a fishing boat, then moved back home and owned and operated Duffy’s Place in Reynolds, NE. He then went to work on the power lines having helicopters lowering the parts. He decided to drive truck working for himself driving over the road. He had to retire from driving when he was in two car accidents, crushing his knee, braking his back and hip.

Duffy enjoyed collecting antiques, teaching his kids and grandchildren to fish, going every year to the Ikes fishing contest in Deshler. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, helping many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Craig, one sister Danielle Craig and one granchild Grayson.

He is survived by his father Dennis Craig of Olympia, WA, wife Peggy of Deshler, NE, one son Colton of Deshler, NE, daughters; Nicole Craig of Hastings, NE, Heather Wenhoff and husband Jeff of Kearney, NE, and Amber Kendall of Deshler, brother Derrick Craig of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren; Adley, Kira, Rylan, Maddy, and Ava, nieces, nephews and friends.
