Delores Edna Kemper of Lincoln, NE formerly of Deshler, NE the daughter of Stacy and Viola (Hillman) Presnell was born November 22, 1931 in Deshler, NE. She departed this life Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in Lincoln, NE at the age of 91 years.

She was baptized December 20, 1931 and confirmed June 9, 1946 both at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE by pastor F. H. Schwerin. Her confirmation verse was Matthew 6 verse 33.

Delores attended Peace Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from Deshler High School.

She married Arnold Koch at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. This union was blessed by the birth of three children.

The couple made their home two miles north of Deshler and were faithful members of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE.

Delores worked at Deshler Public School with the hot lunch program, Parkview Haven in the kitchen and laundry, and RRR Electrical Shop.

She married Ben Kemper August 18, 2001 and the couple moved to Superior, NE where they were members of Salem Lutheran Church. After Ben’s death she moved to Hebron, where she joined Grace Lutheran Church, until failing health took her to Lincoln to be closer to her kids.

Delores enjoyed cooking, needlework, sewing, square dancing, and bowling but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brother Roger Presnell, sisters Alvina Phillips and Ruby Vieselmeyer.

She is survived by her son Stephen Koch and wife Jackie of Lincoln, NE and two daughters; Arlene Wilke of Omaha, NE and Margaret Lichty of Long Beach, CA, grandchildren; Melissa Branting and husband Mitch of Gilbert, AZ, Tonya Zelnio and husband Dave of Lincoln, NE, Devany Ray of Lincoln, NE, Great-grandchildren; McKenna and Madisson Branting of Gilbert, AZ, Taven Zelnio and Lucas Zelnio and wife Teagan of Lincoln, NE, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, NE at 10 AM. Officiant will be Pastor Keith Brozek, visitation will be Friday 2-6PM at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, organist Janet Nielson, congregational hymns “Amazing Grace”, How Great Thou Art” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus, casket bearers; Dave Zelnio, Ken Veiselmeyer, Mike Thumann, Lucas Zelnio, Louis Vieselmeyer, and Rich Koch, honorary casket bearers; Taven Zelnio, Mitch Branting, Randy Phillips, Mel Phillips, Larry Ray, Don Lekawa, Clint Presnell, Stacy Presnell, and Alan Vieselmeyer.
