David Allen Meyer of Hebron the son of Dennis and Shirley (Cutsinger) Meyer was born June 3, 1971 at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, TX. He departed this life Friday, February 12, 2021 at his residence in Hebron, NE at the age of 49 years. He was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, inAugust of 1971.

In 1976, David moved with his dad to Colorado. He attended Molholm and Lumberg elementary schools and Wheat Ridge Jr. High School in Jefferson County before moving to Bennett and graduating from Bennett High School in 1989. In the years before high school, he spent his summers on the farm with Grandma and Grandpa, he especially liked to cross the road to see great uncle Clarence. He always had a love for the farm, helping uncle Dean feed the cattle, and driving the tractor.

After graduation, he spent some time in Idaho, then went to work managing Columbine Golf Course in Columbine, CO, and also worked for B&M Turf. In 1995, started his own business(Lumberjack Tree Trimming), which he had for a number of years. He then worked for The Meadows Golf Course in Littleton, CO, moving to Nebraska after his father’s death, he worked for LandMark Equipment as a mechanic, and Watson Construction.

He was a member of the Hebron Fire Volunteer Fire Department, liked playing golf and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his father Dennis Meyer, grandparents Alvin and Esther Meyer, uncle Frederick Tietjen, and cousin Daniel Kirkland.

He is survived by special friend Tefeney Schulte, his mother Shirley Meyer of Dayton, TX, sister Angela Meyer of Dayton, TX, uncles: Dean Meyer and special friend Terry Cabrera of Stoddard, NE, Gerald Meyer and wife Alberta of Bennett, NE, aunts: Caroline Tietjen of Chester, NE and Kathryn Kirkland and uncle Ray Kirkland of Denver, CO, nieces, and friends.

Following David’s wishes he was cremated and no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Hebron Fire Station on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.
