Bertha Loretta (Collison) (Burgess) Botbyl of Hebron, NE the daughter of Alexander and Pearl (Girardin) Collison was born October 19, 1926 in Chicago, IL. She departed this life Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her residence in Hebron, NE at the age of 93 years.

Bertha grew up and attended school in Ontario, Canada.

She went to work for Bissell, Inc for over 25 years.

Bertha was a member of The United Methodist Church in Hebron, NE. Her faith was the most important thing in her life.

She enjoyed all animals especially her cats and dogs, but most of all spending time with her family.

Her pastimes were spending time in her beautiful flower garden, and crocheting.

With her health failing she moved in with her son Mel and wife Patricia in Hebron.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Lawrence.

She is survived by her children; Mel Burgess and wife Patricia of Hebron, NE, daughter Roseann, sons; James, Jack and Larry, two sisters Frances and Barbara of Canada, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Following Bertha’s wishes she was cremated. No visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan. Memorial cards may be sent to her son Mel Burgess at 715 Olive Avenue Hebron, NE 68370. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron, NE is in charge of arrangements.
