Anthony Vaughn Hillman of Deshler, NE the son of Earl and Chandra (Nedza) Hillman was born February 27, 1998 in Hebron, NE. He departed this life Monday, September 6, 2021 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 23 years.

Anthony was baptized by Pastor Waterman on April 5, 1998 and confirmed October 27, 2013 by Pastor Nielsen both at Peace Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, but the last few years he attended Hebron Bible Church.

Anthony grew up in Deshler attending school and graduating from Deshler High School with the class of 2017. He then decided to attend Central Community College in Hastings, NE majoring in Broadcasting.

He took time to thank God for his great creation, the sky with the many stars, everything around him, even setting his alarm clock to get up during the night to see the meteor showers. Anthony was devoted in taking time to put in many hours to earn his Eagle Scout Award.

Anthony enjoyed playing Hot Dice and going miniature golfing. He also had a love for music, going to concerts, and playing the drums, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his niece Macey.

He is preceded in death by grandfather Earl Hillman Sr., grandmother Maria Nedza and cousin Sara Larkins.

He is survived by his parents of Deshler, NE, sister Ashley Taylor and husband Trevor of Deshler, niece Macey Taylor, grandfather Charles E. Nedza of Bruning, and grandmother Norma Hillman of Deshler, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at The Hebron Bible Church in Hebron, NE at 10 AM. Officiant will be Pastor Jeff Friesen. Pianist Deb Craig, congregational hymns “Amazing Grace” and “Just As I Am”, recorded selection “Scars In Heaven” by Casting Crowns. Book signing will be Friday September 10, 2021 at Kroll Funeral Home in Deshler, NE from 2-6 PM with family greeting friends 4-6 PM. Honorary casket bearers will be Macey Taylor, Gordon Wheeler, Luke Bossard, Ben Hoops, Isaac Nielsen, and Josh Vacek. Inurnment will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Deshler.
