Remington Wells Elting of Davenport, NE the son of Kurtis and Susie (Enghauser) Elting was born November 7, 1989 in Belleville, KS.  He departed this life at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 28 years.

 Rem grew up in the Davenport area attending St. Peter Lutheran School and graduating from

Bruning-Davenport High School with the class of 2008.  He continued his education attending South East Community College in Beatrice, NE working toward a degree in Agriculture. He was also a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2011 at Mason City, IA.

 After college he did his internship at Aurora Coop in Carleton. He pursued his passion of farming by working for neighbors and friends in God’s creation, helping Reuben with Elting Pivot Service, Thayer County Department of Roads where he enjoyed working on road construction and improvements, working all aspects of operations at RW’s Dining & Drinks before starting his own business Elting Seamless Gutters.

 He helped friend's with race cars and was always in the pits, organizing and attending road rally’s. Rem loved his family and friends, especially his nephew Rexton.

 Rem had a talent with all equipment, he could operate or drive anything.  He was always working, helping farmers no matter what they needed, any task was possible with his abilities and drive.

 Rem was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau where he was baptized and confirmed.  He was also a member of the Davenport Volunteer Fire Department, and drove the Thayer County Ambulance. Rem enjoyed fishing, hunting and a round of golf now and then.

 Rem is preceded in death by his grandparents Orval Elting, Robert Enghauser and Maxine Needman.

 He is survived by his parents Kurtis and Susie Elting of Davenport, NE, brother Reuben Elting and wife Anna of Davenport, nephew Rexton Walker Elting and a niece or nephew on the way, grandmother Esther Elting of Deshler, uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, and countless friends.

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau (rural Hebron) at 10 AM.  Officiant will be Pastor Jose Flores, organist Renee Dowdy, congregational hymns “Beautiful Savior” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”, and recorded song “End Of The Line” by Traveling Wilburys, visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2pm to 7pm at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE. Casket bearers Reuben Elting, Chance Gerdes, Elijah Zevenbergen, Logan Crockett, Garrett Hoins and Tyler Christensen. Burial in Carleton Cemetery, Carleton, NE.
