Keith Arden Fraley of Chester, NE the son of George and Lynnola (Hale) Fraley was born May 19, 1942 in Belleville, KS. He departed this life Monday January 9, 2017 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 74 years.

Keith grew up in the Chester area and graduated with the class of 1960. He continued his education receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree at Fort Hays State University.

He was baptized and confirmed at The United Methodist Church in Chester, NE.

Keith married Elaine Petz August 13, 1977 at the Presbyterian Church in Nelson, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.

Keith was a farmer, spending time outside enjoying God’s great creation.

He liked visiting friends and spending time having coffee. Most of all Keith loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He liked working with metal, welding and making things for people. The sign above the Chester and Byron cemeteries are some of his handy work. He also made the Christmas trees going into Chester and many different things made out of metal.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Elaine of Chester, NE, sons Brandon and wife Alicia of Concordia, KS, and Kale and wife Martina of Jamestown, KS, daughters; Elissa Mumm and husband Thad of Hebron, NE, Megan Lorson and husband Kyle of Salina, KS, and Kristi Poppe and husband Kenny of Byron, NE, two brothers; Don Fraley and wife Donna of Loudon, TN, and Kent Fraley and wife Terry of Kearney, NE, one sister Mary Lynn Schrandt and husband Ron of Las Vegas, NV, Granchildren; Florian, Nadine, Kristina, Katelynn, Nicholas, Elijah, Jocelynn, Delainey, Sophia, and Keithen, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at The United Methodist Church in Chester, NE at 2:30pm. Officiant will be Pastor Young Je Kim, organist Kathy Larkins, recorded song “Tears In Heaven” by Chad Scott, and congregational hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”, visitation will be Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 1pm to 7pm at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE.
