James Arthur Buller of Hebron, NE the son of Eugene and Lucille (Zimmerman) Buller was born September 6, 1950 in Hebron. He departed this life Monday, August 6, 2018 at his residence in Hebron at the age of 67 years.
Jim grew up on a farm a few miles east of the Hebron area attending Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduating from Hebron High School with the class of 1968. He furthered his education attending The University of Nebraska-Kearney for one year.
Jim married Janice Cooper November 16, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron by Father William Rezabek. This union was blessed with the birth of two children.
Jim went to work for William’s Drilling in Belvidere, NE, later he worked for Thayer County Dept. of Roads operating heavy equipment. Then he worked for Blue Valley Lutheran Homes in Hebron in maintenance, for Larkins Trucking delivering pivots, and J.L. Hopken Construction until his retirement in 2015.
He enjoyed spending time outside in God’s great creation, fishing, and target shooting, drinking coffee with friends at the coffee shop, woodworking, history buff and an avid reader. Most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Jim was also a Boy Scout Den Leader.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Janice of Hebron, son Ryan Buller and wife Jacque of Lincoln, daughter Stacey O’Neal and husband James of Camdenton, MO, brothers; Bob and wife Deb of Lincoln and John and wife Mary from North Bend, NE, grandchildren; Dylan and Spencer O’Neal of Camdenton, MO, and Hallie and Zander Buller of Lincoln, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial service will be Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron. Officiant Fr. Rudy Oborny, acolyte Leland Weber, reader Ken Else, organist Janet Germer, cantor Kurk Wiedel. Congregational hymns “On Eagles Wings”, “Be Not Afraid”, “You Are Mine” and “How Great Thou Art”. No visitation/cremation. Inurnment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com . Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron is in charge of arrangements.
