James Robert Beisner of Hebron, NE the son of Harold and Mary (Carter) Beisner was born April 14, 1938 in Hebron, NE.  He departed this life Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 80 years.

Jim grew up in Hebron attending school and graduating from Hebron High School.  Jim enlisted in the United States Army February 8, 1960 he served in Germany, and Vietnam overseas receiving Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Oak Leaf Cluster, National Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Bars, Army Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal, he was honorably discharged November 30, 1979.

After returning home to Hebron, Jim drove the Blue Valley Community Action Bus driving seniors to their doctor appointments in Beatrice and Lincoln.  He also drove for Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home.

Jim enjoyed spending time in his dad’s shop helping restore their 1951 International Pickup.

Spending time with his family and friends was Jim’s main enjoyment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Bill.

He is survived by nephew Michael Beisner and wife Gracie from Northglenn, CO, nieces, and friends.

Following Jim’s wishes he was cremated and a graveside memorial will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron, NE at 11AM where his cremains will be inurned with military honors by Thayer County American Legion Posts.  No visitation-cremation.  Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron, NE is in charge of arrangements.
