Jaide Kennadie Miller of Deshler, NE the daughter of Travis and Chrystal (Weideman) Miller was born February 13, 2001 in Hastings, NE.  She departed this life Monday, December 10, 2018 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 17 years.

 Jaide grew up in Deshler and attended Deshler Public School. She was going to graduate this May with the class of 2019 and was planning to attend college, seeking a degree in Forensic Science.

  In school she was an exceptional student ranking in the top 5 of her class. She was involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, One Act Play, Flag Corps, Show Choir, Choir, Band, Jazz Band, School Musical, and a member of the youth group at church. She was a musically gifted person with a beautiful singing voice and played piano, trumpet, and saxophone.

 She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, and active in many events.

 Jaide liked spending time with her friends and especially her family.  She was a people person, very kind and caring, and always there for anyone who needed her. She had a smile for everyone and her beautiful dimples would light up any room. Jaide was fascinated with her surroundings and had a special love for all of God’s creation. She could spend hours by herself just enjoying where she was.  

 She had a very close friend Kees Sillevis Smitt who captivated her attention, and they spent many hours together.

 She was preceded in death by her grandfather Larry Miller.

 She is survived by her parents Travis and Chrystal Miller of Deshler, grandparents Harvey and Marlene Weideman of Deshler, NE, and Mary Miller of Deshler, sisters Raegan Bartholomew and husband Sean of Hickman, NE, Gracie Miller of Deshler, very close friend Kees Sillevis Smitt, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

 Funeral services will be held December 14, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler at 11:00 AM. Officiant Pastor Richard Stevenson. Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Kroll Funeral Home in Deshler, NE 2PM to 7PM.  Organist Julia Pohlmann, soloist Brad Schultz singing “Come To Jesus” and “When I Get Where I’m Going”, congregational hymn “In the Garden”, recorded selections “I Can Only Imagine” and “One More Day”. Casket bearers; Mason O’Neal, Brett Sloane, Nick Poppe, Corey Kirkland, Brett Mundhenke, and Orlando Galvin. Interment at Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Deshler. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com.  Memorials in care of the family.  Kroll Funeral Home of Deshler, NE is in charge of arrangements.
