Gary Eldon Hintz of Hebron, NE the son of Eldon and Viola (Bartles) Hintz was born August 12, 1946 in Deshler, NE. He departed this life Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his residence in Hebron, NE.

He was baptized September 1, 1946 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE by Reverend F. H. Schwerin and confirmed April 10, 1960 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE by Pastor Erwin F. Janssen.

Gary grew up in the Deshler area attending Peace Lutheran School and Deshler High School.

Gary married Belinda Brink September 4, 1964 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters.

Gary started in the construction business working for Ralph Koerwitz Construction for 10 years before starting G & H construction. He drove truck for different people until 1987 when he started Hintz Backhoe Construction still working at the time of his death.

Gary liked being out in God’s creation mostly with his favorite past time working. He did spend some time boating and fishing. Most of all Gary enjoyed spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and great-grandchild Sophia Turan.

He is survived by his daughters; Kelly Haase and husband Zach of Hebron, NE and Kim Hintz of Crete, NE, grandchildren; Cody Turan and wife Courtney of Hebron, NE, Mikayla Wendelin and husband Cody of Venezia, Italy, Shila Jo Casteel of Crete, NE, and Briar Templin of Hebron, NE, Cole and Gabe Haase, great-grandchild; Braylee and Easton Turan, Wesley Jo Casteel of Crete, NE, brothers; Harlan Hintz and wife Iris of Beatrice, NE, Keith Hintz and wife Deb, and Lonny Hintz and wife Mary, both of Deshler, Russell Hintz and wife Sharon of Palmyra, NE, sisters; Bettsene Linton and husband Bill of Hebron, Ceola James and husband Chuck of Florida, and Carol Amundson and husband Carl of Plymouth, NE, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE at 3 PM. Officiant Pastor Rich Stevenson, organist Julia Pohlmann congregational hymn “In The Garden”, recorded selections; “Outskirts Of Heaven”, “Rope The Moon”, “Battle Of New Orleans, casket bearers; Brian Bargen, Steve Poppe, Jim Koerwitz, Randy Hergott, Melvin Nutsch, Dave Mussman, Terry Burkey, honorary casket bearers; Jim Wehrbein, Jack Wehrbein, Charlie Ough, Dan Poppe, Jack Segelkan, Jack Mumford, Bill Mumford, Eric Nutsch, Dan Judy, and Jim Day, visitation will be Friday February 24, 2017 at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE, 1 PM to 7 PM, memorials in care of the family.
