Dorothy E. Hissong was born December 6, 1918 in Gilead, Nebraska to Henry and Ida____Willems. Dorothy departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, Nebraska.

Dorothy attended Gilead school through the 10th grade.

Dorothy married Dorell Hissong_________________They farmed in the Gilead and Hebron area until her husband’s death in 1985.

Dorothy worked for a number of years at the Blue Valley Nursing Home in Hebron in the housekeeping department. She lived in Hebron and moved into the NorthView assisted living apartments on July 16, 2002.

Dorothy’s favorite pastimes were gardening, embroidering, and crocheting.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Dorell.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Allen Hissong and wife Frances of Hebron, NE, Randy Hissong and wife Cheryl of Hebron, NE, daughters Beverly Kuhns and husband Don of Hebron, NE and Linda Fangmeyer and husband Leroy of Deshler, NE. Sisters Rolla Staggs and husband___________ of Fairbury, NE and Leora Engle of ______Idaho.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, NE. Officiant Richard Pfleiderer. Visitation on Friday from 9AM to 8PM at Hebron Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron, NE. Hebron Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
